THE LATEST INFORMATION
The page contains all the latest updates concerning any changes that have been made to procedures at the Languages Centre Bremen due to the Corona virus crisis.
The staff members of the language centre are in 'emergency operation mode' at the university. We ask that you do not come by our offices in person - especially so as to prevent the further spread of the virus.
REGISTERING FOR SUMMER SEMESTER 2020 COURSES
The Languages Centre Bremen will initially be offering all of its summer semester courses in a completely internet-based course format, but still closely supervised by the designated teachers. The courses are scheduled to begin the week of April 14, 2020 (i.e. the otherwise regular beginning of courses at the university).
You are welcome to register for these online courses any time now. The listed amount of ECTS points is still valid.
Whether or not there will be classroom-based face-to-face instruction later in the semester depends on public health developments that we cannot currently foresee. As soon as we have approval to conduct classroom-based instruction, all courses will revert to their originally planned classroom-based format.
PROCEDURES FOR PICKING UP CERTIFICATES
It is currently not possible to pick up your certificates or course records in person.
If you need your certificate or course record, please write us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and be sure to include the following information: Last name, first name
- Semester during which you took the language course
- Name of the course (or at least which language, and which level) / if possible also list the course number
- Your postal mailing address (very important!)
Please note that due to limited staff capacity at the university right now there may be a delay in sending your certificate to you.
INTENSIVE COURSES IN MARCH 2020
The intensive courses that were scheduled to start on or after March 16th have been cancelled.
